About meg
Here's the place to find out a little more about me (Meg!) and the inspiration behind Holistic Meg.

Before discovering yoga I was someone who spent a lot of time overthinking and constantly being on the go.
I remember attending my first yoga class in Germany and thinking how inflexible I was then (I was age 20!) and I noticed how much quieter my mind become during the Savasana phase of the class.
So much so that yoga has always been something I have come back to, regardless of what's going on in my life and I trained as a yoga teacher 10 years later. Yoga has really helped me to find that balance between pushing myself out of my comfort zone, whilst tending to my inner world.
experience and training
I trained in Hatha Yoga with Sam Rao Yoga Ltd as Hatha is the basic style of yoga and something that can be built upon, regardless of your experience.
This makes it tailorable to all levels as options can be given throughout. Hatha is a slower paced style of yoga to really help you connect to your body and feel into what it is asking from you without rushing.
The style I teach is also Remedial Hatha Yoga and is beneficial for those with injuries, to really help build strength and feel into what areas of the body need support.
I have also done training in Trauma Informed Somatics through Little Yoga Space and this is an area I am interested and passionate to delve deeper into, with the desire to have yoga as a tool to help with trauma related injuries and conditions.

When I'm not teaching you'll find me...
Walking my dog Fudge the cockapoo around the fields and hills with my husband! Or exploring new locations and cooking delicious meals. I also love hill walking, running, dance (especially Highland and Somatic!) and I'm interested in open water swimming and paddle boarding. I do love the outdoors and doing anything active.
